From Cardiff / Heathrow / London
M4 / A48 to Carmarthen and then ignore your SatNav!
At Carmarthen take the A40 westwards through St Clears towards Haverfordwest for about 25 mins.
At the A40 / A478 (Narberth) roundabout turn right onto the A478 towards Cardigan for about 25 mins.
At the A478 / A487 roundabout take 2nd exit and drop down towards Cardigan old bridge about 1 minute.
At the Eagle pub turn left onto B4546 signed St Dogmaels and Poppit Sands, follow the main road, we are the blue house opposite the Ferry Inn.

From Aberystwyth

A487 southwards (about 1hr) until the A487/A478 roundabout, here turn right and drop down to the Eagle pub where you turn left for St Dogmaels.

Rail:

The nearest useful railway stations to St. Dogmaels are:
Aberystwyth (from the North and the Midlands e.g. Birmingham) and
Carmarthen (from London, Heathrow and the South)
Sunday travel to Carmarthen requires a direct taxi or a long bus journey via Fishguard/Haverfordwest.

NB 1.5 hrs+ saved travel time towards Cardiff / London / Heathrow

The 460 bus Cardigan to Carmarthen Mon-Sat saves 1.5 hour travel time compared with taking the Poppit Rocket 405 bus to Fishguard Square, then bus to Fishguard/Goodwick Station, then train to Carmarthen eastwards.
The train from Fishguard stops at Carmarthen so no extra ticket is required if guests outward ticket is from Fishguard.

Coach and Bus to/from Carmarthen, Cardigan & St Dogmaels

460 Carmarthen – Cardigan bus is an hourly service (Not on Sundays)
Cardigan – St Dogmaels: 405 & 408 service
405 Poppit Rocket Summer (to 30/9/18) Coast Walkers bus Cardigan to Fishguard 3 per day each way every day of the week
405 Poppit Rocket Winter (4/10/18 to 4/5/19) Coast Walkers bus Cardigan to Newport (Pembs) 3 per day each way Thursday and Saturday
408 (Monday to Saturday runs approx. hourly). Ask the driver to drop you off at Argo Villa B&B

Bus Aberystwyth – Cardigan

The Bus station in Aberystwyth is just to the side of the railway station.
Monday to Saturday the T5 bus from Stand 7 in Aberystwyth station takes you to Finch Square, Cardigan. The T5 runs hourly

Bus to/from Goodwick Rail Station near Fishguard:

NB it is 2.5 kms from Fishguard Harbour / Goodwick Rail Station to Fishguard Square requiring a bus, walk or a taxi.
There are 2 services from Fishguard Square:
1. The T5 – From Fishguard Square to Cardigan, then 405 or 408 bus Cardigan to St Dogmaels;
2. The 405 Poppit Rocket – From Fishguard Square (see details above) passes Argo Villa B&B, ask the driver to drop you off at the B&B.

Using Pembrokeshire’s Coastal Walkers Bus Services:

NB guests can use these buses to return to their B&B at the end of a days walk and then the next day catch the bus back to where they finished walking the previous day. This allows walkers to base themselves at one B&B for 2 or more days and walk in different directions along the Coast Path. We use the bus quite frequently and the bus drivers are helpful
